Dr. Kutlay Telli My article on “The Notion of the Jurisdiction in the Hands of the European Court of Human Rights and the United Nations” ( LHD, Volume 12, Issue 142 ) primarily aims to highlight central role of the case-law of the European Court and increasing influence of UN actors upon the advancement of the idea of jurisdiction in two different areas of focus: human rights and criminal justice law. It will be demonstrated in this study that the interpretation of jurisdiction on the whole may be utilized for not only protecting human rights but also safety and security of individuals.
